Access to Digital Cinema Systems

As the nation's theaters make the transition from analog or traditional film projection to projection of digital files, The Media Access Group at WGBH continues to work with digital equipment manufacturers, studios, digital cinema packaging companies and theater chains to ensure that access features (captioning and description) are a built-in feature in cinema servers which ingest and play out film files within auditoriums.

Making In-flight Communication and Entertainment Accessible

Developing solutions that will make in-flight communication and entertainment systems, and the programs and services offered on them, accessible to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired.

Motion Picture Access (MoPix®)
