ccPlayer Home
ccPlayer version 2.1.1 is now available.
In addition to the CCforFlash component, NCAM has created a flexible media player which incorporates a CCforFlash component. If you are not handy with Flash programming but want to embed a Flash-based media player on your Web page, ccPlayer may be sufficient. ccPlayer contains many built-in accessibility features for screen-reader and keyboard users and comes in two versions:
- ccPlayerAS3 – ActionScript 3 version, requires Flash Player 9 and above
- ccPlayer - original ActionScript 2 version, Flash Player 8 and above (plays flv video only)
ccPlayerAS3 Media Player Key Features
- Flash-based media player
- Plays H.264, FLV, MP3 and SWF media
- Displays TTML, QTtext or embedded captions
- Displays captions synchronized to a linearly animated SWF
- Screen-reader and keyboard accessible controls
- Keyboard-accessible volume and scrub controls
- Customizable controls
- Captions can be searched to jump to key points in the media
- Shortcut keys for all controls that are listed in instructions window
- Multi-language subtitling option
- Can be embedded in other Flash projects
- Fullscreen video
- Plays any size video
- Controls can be accessed via Javascript
