Captioning a live Breeze/Connect Meeting requires the coordination of several components, including CaptionKeeper (Breeze module), a source of caption data like a stenocaptioner or line-21 data recover device, and the Connect Meeting captioning extension to the Breeze/Connect meeting template. A full description of setting up a Adobe Connect meeting is beyond the scope of this document, but for fuller description, see the documentation provided by Adobe (http://www.adobe.com).
The figure below shows the main CCPod screen, and its Settings dialog.
The person controlling the instance of CCPod that acts as the caption gateway to the meeting determines the TCP/IP address and port of CaptionKeeper, and fills in that information. It must match the information in the Breeze connection window in CaptionKeeper as described elsewhere in this help document.
If the following conditions are met:
- a stenocaptioner or other source of captions is connected to the CaptionKeeper input filter, either through a direct connection or through a modem, and
- CCPod is connected to CaptionKeeper
then CaptionKeeper will be able to send caption data to CCPod and the meeting participants will be able to view captions.
